The Xclusions Project

January 2007 - April 2007

Peer Productions students worked with three groups of young people identified as excluded or at risk of exclusion to create films exploring their stories.  These three groups were based in Sheerwater in Woking, Stanwell North in Spelthorne and St. Michaels in Surrey Heath. The project ran for a number of weeks, with young people from each group planning, storyboarding, filming and acting to produce short films which were edited by Peer Productions

This project culminated in a celebratory sharing screening at Bisley Youth Centre with all three groups watching the films and being presented with their own copy of the DVD.

The films then became part of a multimedia touring performance project for Key Stage 3+.  This project received funding from Global Grants (European Social Fund).
