Claire Knight

Peer Productions Company Director Claire Knight has been with the company since its conception in 2006. She read Drama, Community Theatre and Media at Winchester University, and is now studying for a Masters in Cultural and Arts Management there.

Claire is also a trained Arts Award Adviser and an Arts Award Trainer for the Bronze and Silver awards. In March 2010 she graduated from the Common Purpose 'InsideOUT' leadership training course.

Her degree enabled her to indulge her passion for community arts with a number of interesting community film and drama projects, including a drama project with young people excluded from mainstream education, a short documentary film exploring the lasting impact of having an alcoholic parent, and a schools tour with an educational theatre piece entitled "Letters from Iraq".

Previously, Claire has worked in a number of arts and education settings including The Sixth Form College Farnborough, Farnham Maltings and The Camberley Theatre.  She also worked at Harrow Arts Centre as Arts Programme Officer, focusing on engaging diverse audiences with a varied programme of arts and culture.

Her role within the company is varied and challenging, including developing the strategic aims and future growth of the company,  managing projects and the attached budgets, organising tours, and running outreach projects.
