Jason Orbaum
Peer Productions co-founder and co-director, Jason Orbaum has been working as a creative in the local community for nearly twenty five years and currently works freelance throughout the South East. During this time he has worked as a writer, composer, teacher, director (theatre and video) and actor in a variety of educational and community settings. He was a key member of the Xpress theatre team where he facilitated music and drama workshops and directs productions for young people aged 8 - 25 years.
He became known in TIE in the late 80s for his multiple award winning peer led production, The AIDS Project, which toured throughout the South of England for three years.
He has considerable project management experience having previously set up and run several successful creative businesses. These include Dead Stupid Productions, a best selling design house and Synaesthesia Theatre Company who were responsible for the first Woking Fringe Festival which brought together local artists and playwrights with schools, colleges and youth groups.
