Nina Lemon
Artistic Director
Nina founded Peer Productions back in 2006 and leads our creative output and development. Nina’s interests, as both an artist and an individual, lie in the furthering of human rights and she is particularly passionate about improving life chances for marginalised groups including young people, disabled people and women and girls.
Nina read Drama and Theatre Studies at Royal Holloway University and is nearing completion of a PhD at Royal Central School of Speech and Drama exploring how plays can be used to change the way teenagers think and behave in intimate relationships. Nina is particularly interested in inclusive practice and was Senior Practitioner for Kent and Surrey University AHRC research project Playing A/Part which explores creativity in Autistic girls.
Prior to founding Peer Productions, Nina has worked extensively as a director, writer and project manager in a wide range of artistic, community and educational settings and, outside of work, Nina is a mum to two beautiful, Autistic daughters.
