Leader of Learning (PEP & Community)

We are excited to be recruiting a Leader of Learning (PEP and Community) to join our leadership team. This is a full-time, fixed-term role, in part to cover Maternity Leave. The post-holder will lead our unique alternative education programme for learning disabled young adults, Peer Empowerment Pathway (PEP), as well as a programme of community outreach initiatives.

The Leader of Learning will ensure high-quality, creative, and inclusive learning experiences across our programmes. In addition to delivering their own sessions, they will manage and mentor a dedicated team of facilitators and assistants, oversee programme budgets, liaise with learners, families, and local authorities to support young people with EHCPs, and act as Deputy Safeguarding Lead. They will also play a central role in marketing and recruitment, helping more learners to access our life-changing training.

Beyond PEP, the Leader of Learning will oversee our community programmes including Generation Girls and Guys, a pioneering initiative that uses drama and creativity to deliver Personal, Social, and Health Education (PSHE) to learning disabled and neurodivergent teenagers. The Leader of Learning will also oversee our SEND-focused holiday activities, ensuring they meet the needs of children and young people while providing enriching creative experiences.

In all areas of work, the Leader of Learning will recruit, develop and manage Learning Facilitators and Assistants, manage budgets and resources, maintain strong partnerships, and contribute to fundraising, monitoring, and evaluation. Working closely with the Artistic Director, they will help design and deliver new community initiatives in line with our mission to use theatre and creativity as a force for empowerment and inclusion.
