100% Drama School Acceptance - What’s the secret of our success?

Here at Peer we are celebrating a wave of success as 100% of our young actors on our Peer Actor Development Programme (PAD) have recently secured places at top drama schools. To date, the group of nine young actors have received 23 offers from a range of top drama schools including Bristol Old Vic, Drama Studio London, East15, Fourth Monkey, Guildford School of Acting, Italia Conti, Leeds Conservatoire, LIPA, Mountview, PerformersCollege, Performers Preparatory Academy, Rose Bruford and Trinity Laban and audition season isn’t over yet!

This achievement reflects our unique and holistic approach to training young performers, combining individual support, hands-on experience, and a strong creative community.

AND the PAD programme is fully funded as part of our commitment to supporting young actors from a range of different backgrounds.

The drama school audition prep that we have had at Peer so far has also been amazing. The chance to work 1-1 was incredibly helpful, and I feel I have performed so much better in my auditions as a result.

An Individual Approach

At the heart of Peer Productions’ success is its individual, bespoke advice and support. Students receive tailored guidance to prepare for the highly competitive audition process. At the beginning of the year learners receive the Peer Guide to Drama Schools; a comprehensive publication that lists most drama schools in the UK, the courses they offer and the audition requirements stipulated by each school.  We are committed to learners finding the right course for them. We also lend support in selecting the right monologues to show ability, contrast and range. We provide time, space and equipment for self taping and crucially, honest feedback so every self tape is the best it can be. Finally, we stage mock auditions to give learners a practical experience of performing and interviewing in the room, under pressure.

Part of an Inclusive Creative Community

In addition to personalised coaching, students benefit from being part of a supportive creative community. This environment encourages collaboration, builds confidence, and nurtures artistic growth—key ingredients for success in the performing arts.

Spending every day with like minded young creative people has been an absolute joy. We have all been rooting for each other and supporting each other every step of the way!

Experiential Learning

The experiential learning opportunities that Peer Productions offers—such as going on tour and developing original work—gives drama school candidates professional life experiences to speak about in their self-tape introductions and in-person interviews. These real-world experiences not only enrich audition content but also allow young actors to apply their skills in professional contexts, deepening their craft and better preparing them for the demands of formal training. One learner wrote,

Through the rehearsal periods and touring, I feel I have learnt so much about myself as an actor, taking direction, being adaptable and how a tour runs overall, which I know will serve me well as I move into the industry.

With a strong track record and a growing list of success stories, Peer Productions continues to play a vital role in shaping the next generation of theatre professionals. To apply to start this September click here.
