Help us create a permanent, inclusive youth arts space in Woking!
Since 2006, we have been transforming lives through theatre, empowering young people to grow in confidence, find their voice, and become leaders in their communities. Our programmes are especially designed to support those who are learning disabled, neurodivergent, or facing disadvantage, offering creative opportunities that many would otherwise miss.
We are now raising funds to establish a permanent home in central Woking. This new space will provide a safe, inclusive and inspiring environment where creativity can flourish. The 6,000 square foot unit in Henry Plaza will be fitted out to include four studios, breakout spaces, offices and accessible facilities. Every detail will be designed with inclusivity in mind, ensuring that young people with additional needs feel supported and able to thrive.
A permanent home will allow us to grow and deepen our impact. We will:
Expand our education and training offer, opening up more places on our unique Peer Empowerment Pathway for young adults with learning disabilities, neurodivergence or other barriers to education and employment.
Increase opportunities for children and young people to take part in inclusive after-school and holiday programmes that build skills, confidence and wellbeing.
Launch new adult day services and employability programmes for those with learning disabilities and neurodivergence, filling a vital gap in local provision.
Strengthen our work in mental health and wellbeing by hosting creative sessions in partnership with professionals to build resilience and connection.
Create a hub for community creativity, welcoming local groups and emerging artists into a supportive and collaborative space.
The space is ready to be fitted out to our specifications, creating a fully accessible and purpose-built environment that meets the needs of our users. The total project value is £1 million, and we are requesting £499,000 from Your Fund Surrey to help make this possible.
With your help we can secure a long-term base in the heart of Woking and continue transforming lives through theatre for generations to come.
